Hi, there! I'm Laura, the owner and practitioner behind Ellipsis Mental Health. I have been in practice as an outpatient mental health therapist since 2016. In this time, I have been able to expand my skill set, identify specific areas of interest, and hone in my continued training and education. These years of experience have been invaluable and have only deepened my love for this work and commitment to doing it well.
I consider myself a collaborative clinical pragmatist. I want to work in partnership with you to find out what works and what feels practically helpful.
I ultimately see my role, and the purpose of our work together, as strengthening your relationship with yourself, deepening your sense of self, and your trust in self.
Sometimes this looks like processing through past experiences that are getting in the way and may have complicated this. Sometimes it looks like examining current patterns and behaviors that may not be serving you anymore, and moving toward change. And sometimes this looks like sitting together in the pain or the hardship you may find yourself in. I can’t fix things, nor will our work together fix things, but it should help, and you won’t be alone.
You can consistently have the space to feel your way through and progressively move toward healing, restoration, and connecting to a meaningful life, however that looks to you, and I consider it an honor to be able to be with you in the process.
